But this is no ordinary step back in time. We are focusing on the excellent work that the borough’s eateries do in the community.
Some have raised money for charity. Others have encouraged groups to meet in their premises.
But don’t just take our word for it. Take a look for yourself.
Sadly, we can’t enjoy a snack inside our favourite venue during the pandemic lockdown. But they will be back and in the meantime, let’s pay tribute to an industry that South Tyneside excels in.
