But which one to choose? There may be a lot of chocolate bars out there, but everyone has their all-time favourite.

And this World Chocolate Day, we asked the readers to share their top pick from days gone by; which retro sweet treat they would love to see back on the shelves.

From never-forgotten Cadbury classics to caramel-filled cups, you had some great suggestions harking back in time.

Here are the 14 chocolate bars you would like to see make a return to the supermarket (and the shopping bag):

Cadbury Aztec Bar: This one had all of the gooey good stuff – caramel and nougatine together!

Cadbury Bar Six: You can’t mess with a classic chocolate, wafer and creamy filling combo.

Cabana Bar: One of the most popular suggestions, the much-loved Cabana Bar packed coconut and cherries into a chocolate coating.

Terry's Coffee Cream: The chocolate orange isn’t the only thing that’s Terry’s – and plenty of you wanted to see this coffee cream bar make a comeback.

Fox’s Echo biscuit bar: Not technically a chocolate bar, but too good to miss out! We loved the bubbly white chocolate and crunchy biscuit base.

Fry's Five Centre: On the shelves for more than 50 years, the Five Centre had a range of fruit-filled squares. Which was your favourite?

Cadbury Fuse: What’s not to like about nuts, raisins, fudge and crunchy bits!

Cadbury Marble: Can’t choose between milk chocolate, white chocolate and praline? You had the lot in this one bar!

Mars Delight: The fluffier and lighter cousin of the standard Mars Bar.

Milk Tray bars: When you could have all your favourites in one bite!

Mint Cracknell: Crispy mint and smooth chocolate, a match made in heaven.

Terry's Pyramint: Dark chocolate with a fluffy mint fondant surprise!

Texan: Last seen in 2005 during a brief retro re-release, the Texan came out top for reader nominations!

Cadbury Spira: A friend of the Twirl – but a far superior friend. You’d love to see this one back!
