GARDENING: Are these the only tomatoes which can beat blight?

SUTTONS has launched what it claims to be the world’s first fully blight-resistant tomato, Crimson Crush.

It has two genes against blight, PH2 and PH3, which make it resistant to all common strains in the UK including “Pink 6” and “Blue 13”, which have decimated outdoor tomato crops in recent years.

Bred for outdoor growing, Crimson Crush has large yields of fine tasting, large, round tomatoes (each weighing up to 200g).

Three Crimson Crush super plugs cost £7.99, available from the Suttons January catalogue or on its website,
