Houghton Feast is an annual attraction which has certainly been a colourful event over the years.
As you can see from these photographs, people were definitely enjoying themselves.
Were you in the crowds hiding from the Vikings, or maybe you and your friends had joined forces to make one of attractive floats? Sometimes, the fun got to much for some and they snuggled down under a cosy blanket.
The carving of the ox is still the highlight of the event for many. Do you have memories of the Feast you would like to share with us?
