According to The Scouts Association, “Scouts don’t get bored – we’ve been having fun and going on adventures for more than a century”.

And judging by the many and varied activities in which these South Tyneside Cub Scouts took part in over the years, the person who penned the aforementioned statement would seem to be spot-on.

For the youngsters not only spent their time securing their badges, they also busied themselves cleaning up the beach at the North Foreshore.
