Travel may be limited during the COVID-19 crisis, but LNER have released a ‘driver’s eye’ video so you can enjoy the popular Edinburgh to Newcastle train route at home.
The film offers viewers the chance to enjoy some of the country’s stunning scenery from the viewpoint of the driver’s cab.
A popular and well-known route with North East travellers, the video shows the train depart from Edinburgh Waverley Station before whizzing through the Scottish borders, Berwick and coming to a stop at Newcastle Central Station.
LNER has released a number of videos if its routes on its YouTube channel which have been viewed tens of thousands of times. Other routes include London King’s Cross to Leeds and Leeds to Harrogate.
The rail operator says it released the videos because it’s keen to reinforce the ‘stay at home’ message while also focusing on keeping key workers on the move.
They will be adding further journeys over the coming weeks.
