All lanes have now been reopened following an accident on the A1 this morning.
Traffic is now moving well following a crash on the A1 earlier this morning.
Motorists were warned of tailbacks after a car overturned car on the A1 near Darlington.
The vehicle crashed just before the junction with the A167 between Newton Aycliffe and Darlington and partially blocked the southbound carriageway.
Highways England said all lanes have now been re-opened and the slight delays are clearing.
