Award is a silver lining for South Shields photographer

A South-Shields photographer has won a silver award in a national wedding photography competition.

David West, who has an office in Lumley Avenue, has been awarded one of only two Silver Awards by the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) at the Professional Photography Awards 2016.

David, a destination wedding photographer, has already won numerous international awards, including the much-coveted “fearless Photography award” which is held in the highest of regard in the photography world.

Thanks to his success, David will be running a number of courses later this year teaching photographers the more creative side of wedding photography.

David said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have received the award, on top of being awarded the Associate and all within the same year.

“It was a true honour to just stand in the same room as some of these photographers let alone achieve this award.”
