Good luck to Big Sam and thanks for the memories.
He did a brilliant job for us and deserves his chance with England. I’m sure all Sunderland fans will be sorry to see him go but who can blame him.
The England job must be the pinnacle of all jobs.
It’s perhaps ironic that after sacking a succession of managers the one manager we wanted to keep hold of moves on but we won’t forget him.
