A night of ‘Big Band’ music and party fun has been lined up to kick start the festive season.

Off Key Big Band has lined up a repertoire of their favourite tunes for their forthcoming concert.

The event will take place on Saturday December 5 at The Colliery Club, High Lane Row, in Hebburn. Doors open at 7pm.

The showcase follows on from the band’s summer performance - Movies and Musicals - at St Oswald’s Church in July which was attended by the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress Couns Alan Smith and Moira Smith.

Musical Director John Fay said: “We performed our Movies and Musicals at St Oswald’s Church and it was a great success.

“We would love to have more people find out more about our concerts in South Tyneside and our other events across the North East.”

As well as performing in South Tyneside, the band also showcase their musical talents across the region.

This year’s festive event will be followed by a DJ.

Monies raised on the night will go towards the band’s funds.

Mr Fay added: “Our Christmas Festivity will be quite an informal concert with some musical performances by ourselves throughout the night and a DJ for the latter part of the evening.

“We also have some really great raffle prizes and hampers on offer, with all money raised going towards the band fund.”

Off Key’s repertoire covers music from all eras with a big band twist.
