Both have went on to achieve a Breeam Excellent rating – the leading design and assessment method for sustainable buildings.

Gavin Richardson, managing director of Opus Building Services, said: “Providing high-quality accommodation for the older residents in
our community should be a priority, so we were delighted to partner with Galliford TRY to deliver the two new
high-quality independent
living homes in North Tyneside.

“We have established an impressive track record for new build and refurbishment projects of this type in the region and work extensively in the care and health sectors from sheltered housing right through to critical care installations.

Within the building there are also large communal lounges as well as a smaller quiet room; a therapy room for use by health and personal care professionals such as hairdressers; landscaped communal gardens, and even a guest apartment where family and friends can stay.
