So we’ve unearthed a selection of suitably scary photos, along with a picture, taken in a local video shop that has horror and creepy creatures at its heart.

For behind the lads, photographed in Spotlight Video in 1991, can be seen posters advertising two frightfully timely videos, Exorcist III and Gremlins 2.

The Exorcist caused controversy when it was first screened in 1973, with clergy standing outside some cinemas to offer spiritual guidance and comfort.
