Bradley Lowery's mum has thanked the NHS for the way it enabled her to spend more time with her son before he lost his cancer fight.
Gemma Lowery took to Twitter to praise the NHS as it celebrates its 70th anniversary, saying that its staff helped her to make beautiful memories with Bradley.
She thanked Royal Victoria Infirmary staff and said they did everything they could for the Blackhall youngster.
Her message of support comes just days before the first anniversary since the six-year-old lost his battle with neuroblastoma on July 7.
In an emotional Tweet, Gemma said: "Happy 70th birthday to our amazing @NHSEngland without the help from them I wouldn’t have got to make as many beautiful memories with my Bradley.
"All the staff at the @NewcastleHosps (RVI) worked hard and did everything they could for him.
