A TALENT show looking for the nation’s best singers and dancers is heading to South Tyneside.
Bring It On UK will be in the borough to host auditions in March, accompanied by a Britain’s Got Talent scout.
The contest is touring the country aiming to find the stars of the future – and will make a stop at the Hedworth Hall in Dean Road, South Shields.
Performers of all ages are being invited to attend the event to see if they have what it takes to progress their talents to the next level.
Prizes include £1,000 for the winner of each section, studio time, singing and vocal tuition, dance sessions, and the opportunity to showcase in events across the UK.
Throughout the auditions, event management teams and festival runners will be calling in to check out acts while management from hotel chains will also be on the lookout to book new talent for their premises.
Former X-Factor hopeful Geoff Mull, from Gateshead, will be DJing and on hand to offer advice to those hoping to crack the big time.
He will also be performing at the live show in May which will take place at the Customs House at the Mill Dam, in South Shields.
Geoff narrowly missed out on making it through to the judges’ houses in this year’s contest.
A spokesman for the event said: “This opportunity is for people of all ages, and will be a weekend not to be missed.
“Bring It On UK is a great opportunity for singers and dancers to be involved with a mainstream touring show which is renowned for helping to catapult small town acts into the limelight.”
The show will this year be supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Auditions will take place on March 22, at the Hedworth Hall.
Live finals will take place on May 31, at the Customs House.
