Building on the success of last year’s inaugural Lindisfarne Festival, the 2016 event for over 18s promises to be even bigger and better.

The first wave of acts which were announced in February include Reef, The Cuban Brothers, Beardyman, Little Comets, Molotov Jukebox (including lead singer Natalia Tena from Game of Thrones and Harry Potter), Mercury-nominated C Duncan, world renowned and Northumbrian-born Kathryn Tickwell & Superfolkus, Lisbon and Shields amongst many more.

The line-up plays host to a number of critically-acclaimed artists across genres including indie, funk, rock, soul, jazz, hip-hop, dance and folk alongside a great showcase of North East
talent.

The niche camping festival for over 18s, which overlooks Holy Island, will also offer visitors local food and ale, holistic therapies and creative workshops, as well as a comedy and poetry tent. Conleth Maenpaa, owner of Nokomis and Bor Events and founder of Lindisfarne Festival, said: “We are delighted to have secured a fantastic line up for our second year and to be able to announce the critically-acclaimed British Sea Power as our Friday headliner.

“Famous for their live performances, we know they will do a great job in getting the Lindisfarne Festival party started.

“We are also excited to add the brilliantly talented Fatherson to our line-up and also to welcome back house DJ Glen Horsborough who will be playing host to our dance marquee.

“We really do feel our festival offers something for everyone. With critically-acclaimed artists across the musical spectrum alongside a range of creative arts, Lindisfarne Festival serves up a real cultural experience, all enveloped in a unique and beautiful setting overlooking Holy
Island.

“It’s hard to encapsulate the vibe of Lindisfarne Festival if you haven’t been before but there was certainly something magical about it last year. We hope people will join us once again to make this a weekend to remember.
