Building is not ready

I would like to query Councillor John Anglin's comment in The Gazette on January 12 with regard to his description of progress on the ongoing work to 'The Word', our esteemed centrepiece.

This is said to be the first phase of a lavish programme, which purports to bring back visitors to South Shields.

He describes the progress as “nearing completion”, and the final part of the exterior of the new library and digital media centre, as being completed.

This statement is completely misleading to me, as I looked at the Northerly side of the structure on Tuesday, January 12, and it has a long way to go for any part of it to be near completion.
