Burglars make off with pink car after South Shields house raid

Police are investigating after a South Shields home was targeted by burglars who made off with a pink Peugeot.

Police are appealing for information after this pink Peugeot 208 was stolen.

The burglary took place at a home on Dean Road sometime between 10pm on Friday, April 6 and the early hours of Saturday, April 7, with thieves stealing a bag, coat and keys to a pink Peugeot 208.

Intruders gained access through an unlocked front door and stole the items before making off with the car.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: “At 8.15am on Saturday, April 7, police received a report of a burglary at Dean Road, South Shields.

“Intruders gained access through an unlocked door and stole a bag, coat and keys to a pink Peugeot 208.

“They then made off in the vehicle in question at some point between 10pm the night before (April 6) and calling police at 8.15am.

“Police have launched an investigation into the incident and inquiries are ongoing.
