A husband-and-wife team have re-launched their bathroom business with a new-look showroom.

Gill and Kevin Beard opened the doors of Apollo Bathrooms in Fowler Street in 2010 along with business partner Robert Moore.

Since then they worked with clients across the region and carried out hundreds of bathroom makeovers.

Now, a year after downsizing their showroom, they have introduced new tile displays and new bathroom furniture, and have become exclusive North-East stockists for hand-crafted marble bathroom products from Bathe in Stone.

The change has enabled the couple to introduce new displays more often, as well as being prepared if they have to relocate to new premises as part of the 365 regeneration.

Mrs Beard, managing director, said: “The future plans for South Shields town centre are exciting, with lots of changes happening as part of the 365 regeneration.

“We have been left with an uncertain future on Fowler Street, but we are working hard to ensure that we can continue to deliver quality bathrooms to our customers.

“The downsizing of the Apollo Bathrooms showroom will make it easier for us to relocate if the need arises, but we are committed to South Tyneside, especially remaining in South Shields.”

Apollo Bathrooms offers planning and design, bathroom installation, mirrors and accessories , tiles and lighting, heated rails and wet rooms.
