The work, carried out by Aspire Technology Solutions, means companies based at the Quadrus Centre, South Shields Business Works and Jarrow Business Centre, will be able to deliver secure and reliable communications for all their employees whether on site or working out of the office.

The existing telephone infrastructure was replaced with IP (Internet Protocol) telephony.

Aspire account manager Justin Godfrey said: “Our experience and expertise in the business centre sector means we can deliver improved
telephony systems and
vastly improved data connectivity.”

“We’ve already increased the connectivity at the business centre sites in South Shields, Jarrow and Boldon ten-fold, and the new telephony solution will offer even more functionality for business tenants, improved speed for internet and data and the opportunity to add on even more cutting-edge business applications.”

The contract was awarded to Aspire, which has become one of the region’s fastest growing IT companies.

In the past 12 months it has won contracts worth more than £1million.
