A South Shields beauty queen is hoping to bring home the Miss Great Britain crown this weekend when she competes in the final round of the competition.
Coral Patrick, 21, from Reading Road, is set to compete against 50 other girls from across the country to win the title at a live final show at The Athena in Leicester on Friday night.
The Newcastle University student was crowned Miss Newcastle Great Britain back in June, which automatically put her forward for the Miss Great Britain final.
Now the pageant queen is appealing for votes in the final hours before the show in the hopes of securing her place in the top 16.
She said: “I am one of six finalists in the North East who will be competing against 50 girls to win.
“As part of the competition I have raised £1,200 for ‘Global’s Make Some Noise,’ which is the charity Miss Great Britain has decided to support.
“All the girls has a £1,000 target so I am delighted to have raised over that through a curry night and bake sales.
“Miss Great Britain has just launched an app for people to vote for girls who will go through to the top 16 so I am just trying to get the votes in.”
Coral, who lives with fiancé Reece Parry, will compete against women aged 18 to 27 years old who have won regional Miss Great Britain pageants.
She added: “On the night I will have to take part in three rounds– a fashion, swim wear and evening wear round– with judges choosing a overall winner from the final 16.”
To vote, download the Miss Great Britian app from the PlayStore.
