Residents of a South Tyneside care home were paid an extra special visit by some miniature ponies.
People living at Palmersdene in Grange Road, Jarrow, got up-close-and-personal with the friendly creatures as Pat Pony Therapy visited the home.
Maureen Kane, manager, said: “It was an excellent way to interact with the residents through patting and touching the ponies.
“A number of them were reminiscing about when they were young and had ponies themselves either as pets or in a job role.
“The ponies were even small enough to fit in the lift to go up to the first floor and pay everyone a visit and they were exceptionally well trained.”
