Celebrity stylist's new hair-raising partnership with college

The former British Men’s Hairdresser of the Year and his expert team will work with lecturers at South Tyneside College to hone their skills to enhance learning for hundreds of students each year.

Lee, who describes his training as ‘Michelin standard’, is already predicting great things for the ‘Lee Stafford Education Academy @ STC’.

It is already supporting lecturers who teach level 2 and level 3 students and is recruiting now for students.

He said: “Each member of my team coaches in the same, very unique way, and we are all passionate about delivering what I believe is the ultimate hairdressing training package.

“It will enable South Tyneside College’s training teams to be the most inspired hairdressers around and ensure students can excel still more in their learning.

“The new Lee Stafford Education Academy @ STC is a great way for college’s hairdressing staff to learn new standardised teaching techniques, which will bring great benefits to their students.

“I’m very excited to be working with the college on this project, which is unique in the North East.”

The Education Academy will operate through his Lee Stafford Education brand – a tutoring and mentoring programme that has won national plaudits.

His handpicked team of trainers is made up of salon owners and hairdressers, and includes a college artistic director who will coordinate training.

He will join them for a series of training sessions throughout each academic year at the South Shields-based college.

Once trained in their new working methods, lecturers will roll out remodeled programmes to learners.

The partnership will also run recruitment events for employers and students across the region, giving them the perfect opportunity to be part of Lee’s hairdressing success story.

The college’s existing Top to Toe Salon is also expected to undergo a rebrand as part of the initiative.
