Christmas and New Year public transport times revealed for Tyne and Wear

The festive period will soon be in full swing - but if you're relying on public transport to get to your Christmas events, we have the information you need.

Nexus has produced a handy go-to guide covering the public transport services in and around Tyne and Wear.

It lists when bus, Metro, Shields ferry and local rail services are running, and also provides information and opening hours for Travelshops and customer service centres.

There are no services at all across Tyne and Wear on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, but there are services every other day across the Christmas and New Year period.

Normal service will resume across all public transport from Tuesday, January 3.
