Jason and Chris will be on stage at the Mill Dam venue, in South Shields, this weekend and the gig will raise cash for Caring For Kian, a charity which is raising funds for the youngster's treatment.

Jason said: "This is our favourite kind of show to do because it's just the two of us on stage, mucking about and having a laugh. There's no script, it's just two mates bouncing ideas off each other and having a laugh.

"Ramsey rang me up and asked if I wanted to do a gig with him at the Customs House. We're just hoping that loads of people come along and support the cause. We've set the tickets at £20 so we can raise as much as possible and we're looking for businesses to advertise on stage too. We're charging £500 to have a banner on stage.

"This is a little kid and it's heartbreaking that he had treatment but relapsed and is going through it again. I think he's captured the hearts of everyone in the North East.

"We want everyone to get behind him. Anyone who's got children can understand the torture his parents and his family must be going through.

"If we can make a little bit of a difference by telling some jokes then that's what we should be doing."

Tickets for the 7.30pm gig cost £20. To book, go to www.customshouse.co.uk or call the box office on 0191 454 1234.
