Arrest warrant issued for man accused of stealing a taxi and crashing it into church hall
Liam Foster, 29, of Villette Path, Sunderland, failed to appear to have his case heard at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 14.
He is accused of aggravated vehicle taking, following the crash at All Saints Church, in Cleadon, on Sunday, March 31 last year.

Hide AdIt is alleged he unlawfully took a black Ford Mondeo and that an accident occurred due to how it was driven.
The crash caused the lengthy closure of the church hall.
Sunderland Road was also closed to traffic at the accident site while structural engineers assessed the level of damage.
Work began to repair the church hall in July 2019, and the project was complete in December.
Magistrates issued a warrant without bail for his arrest.
