Burglary, driving while banned and other recent South Shields court cases

The following cases from the South Shields area were dealt with at South Northumbria Magistrates’ Court, which sits at South Shields and Sunderland, recently:

Dominic Reece Clark, 23, of Derby Street, Jarrow, was banned from driving for 32 months, placed on a community order and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge after admitting driving while disqualified and without insurance on June 23.

Reece Riza Hepplewhite, 19, of Derby Street, Jarrow, was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a £150 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting careless driving, driving without a valid licence, insurance or helmet on June 30.

Anthony William Hooker, 27, of Neville’s Cross Road, Hebburn, received an 16-week jail term, which was suspended for 18 months, was banned from driving for 24 months and ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting driving while disqualified on August 15 and September 25, driving without insurance on September 25 and possessing cannabis on August 15.

Ethan Wilson, 19, of Bridle Path, East Boldon, was banned from driving for 24 months, ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work as part of a community order and to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting careless driving, drug driving, driving without a valid licence and without insurance on June 30.

Thomas Knight, 20, of Beach Road, South Shields, received a 12-week jail term, which was suspended for 12 months, after he admitted committing one burglary and 10 attempted burglaries between November 2 and February 16.

Anthony William Moffat, 55, of Tadema Road, South Shields, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting driving without wearing a seatbelt on March 10 last year.

Brian Forster, 41 of Shakespeare Street, Jarrow, was ordered to pay £150 compensation after admitting criminal damage on January 27 and failing to surrender to custody on March 4.
