AN attack on a Metro worker at a South Tyneside station has prompted a police appeal for witnesses.

Officers have released CCTV images of two men they are trying to trace in connection with the assault.

The worker was attacked between 8.55pm and 9pm on Sunday, November 9, at Hebburn Metro Station in Prince Consort Road.

Police are keen to find the two men they believe can help with inquiries.

Anyone with information on the identity of the men is being asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
