A TEENAGER who showed a “complete disregard” for his neighbours after plaguing them with loud music has been evicted from his home.

Nathan Downs, 19, was forced to leave his flat in Lord Nelson Street, South Shields, after South Tyneside Council secured possession of the property through the courts.

South Tyneside County Court heard that, since Downs moved into the flat in March last year, there had been numerous incidents of anti-social behaviour including loud music and shouting from the property at various times of the day.

Downs continued to cause annoyance even after several warnings about his behaviour, and was served a Notice of Possession Proceedings last October.

A South Tyneside Council spokesman said: “He has shown complete disregard for his neighbours.

“We take anti-social behaviour extremely seriously and will take action against any tenants who refuse to act in a reasonable manner.”
