A COUPLE accused of taking out a loan in someone else’s name and using the cash to buy a car will have their cases heard at crown court.

Alison Leadbitter, 49, is said to have taken out the loan in August 2011 using another person’s details.

William Luther, 66, then allegedly spent the money on a car.

The pair, of Hardie Drive, West Boldon, were at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court, where Leadbitter denied fraud by false representation and Luther denied concealing criminal property.

Magistrates declined jurisdiction of the case, and they will appear at Newcastle Crown Court on October 31. They were granted unconditional bail until then.
