Court Round up: Normandy cheese theft and other crimes dealt with by magistrates

The following people have been dealt with at South Tyneside Magistrates Court:

David Dellavolta, 38, of Beach Road, South Shields, was fined £50 for stealing Normandy cheese and a tin of anchovies to the value of £2.64 from Lidl, in South Shields, on Thursday, August 13.

He was also ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £150 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Daniel Lesner, 24, of Southlands, Jarrow, was fined £73 for being in possession of cannabis in South Tyneside on Friday, August 14.

He was also ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £180, prosecution costs of £45 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Heather Matthews, 20, of Hudson Street, was fined £37 for an offence of being drunk and disorderly in a public place, namely King Street, on Tuesday, August 11.

She was also ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £150, prosecution costs of £85 and a £20 victim surcharge.

Michael Raine, 42, of Anderson Street, South Shields, was given a 12 month community order and must pay compensation of £100 for an assault in South Tyneside on Friday, July 3.

He was also ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £150, prosecution costs of £85 and a £60 victim surcharge.

Kevin Abdou, 35, of Hill Park Road, Jarrow, was fined £25 for being drunk and disorderly in a public place, namely South Tyneside District Hospital, on Monday, June 22. He was also ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £150 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Amy Buck, 24, of South Frederick Street, South Shields, was fined £280 and had her driving licence endorsed with eight penalty points for driving without insurance on Abingdon Way, Boldon Colliery, on Wednesday, January 21.

She must also pay prosecution costs of £8 and a victim surcharge of £28.
