Criminal damage, stealing bottles of Jack Daniels and other South Shields court cases

The following cases from the South Shields area were dealt with recently at South Northumbria Magistrates’ Court, which sits at South Shields and Sunderland:

Paul McNamara, 50, of Tasmania Road, South Shields, was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay an £120 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting driving while disqualified and without insurance on May 13.

James Packer, 30, of Grasmere Crescent, Sunderland, was banned from driving for a year and ordered to pay a £650 fine, £65 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting two counts of drug driving in Boldon on July 8.

Stephen Crammond, 31, of Hedgeley Road, Hebburn, was ordered to pay £200 after admitting using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on September 14.

Craig Nicholson, 42, of Swan Road, Hebburn, was placed on a community order, fined £1 and ordered to pay a £90 victim surcharge after admitting stealing three bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey worth £63.50 from Asda and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on January 29.

Kim Cuthbert, 51, of Julian Avenue, South Shields, received an absolute discharge after admitting causing criminal damage on January 12.

Katelin Rumney, 22, of Presthope Road, Sunderland, received three penalty points on her driving licence and was ordered to pay an £120 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting speeding through the Testo’s Roundabout roadworks on November 2, 2019.

Janet Lenny, 56, of Dean Road, South Shields, received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £500 compensation after admitting causing criminal damage on August 21.
