Exposure, assaulting paramedics and stealing from cars: The latest cases to be heard in our court round-up

Graeme Chappell, 40, of Peel Street, Sunderland, was given a 12-month community order after he admitted a charge of theft. He also admitted breach of a community order. He was also ordered to pay £145 costs.

Daniel Fletcher, 28, of Elizabeth Street, Sunderland, was jailed for a total of 33 weeks after being found guilty of three charges of theft. He also admitted a further charge of theft and breaching a suspended sentence order. He was also ordered to pay £60 compensation.

Liam Prudhoe, 29, of Colombo Road, Hylton Castle, Sunderland, was placed on a 12-month community order after admitting stealing more than £900 worth of goods from Sainsburys. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £120 in compensation.

Craig Alan Bramley, 45, of Hill Brow, Sunderland, was given a conditional discharge for six months after admitting causing criminal damage to a car. He was ordered to pay compensation of £200, costs of £85 and a surcharge of £21.

David Reece Churchill, 21, of Derwent Street, Easington Lane, admitted taking a car without the consent of the owner. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Dean John Coates, 31, of Aldenham Tower, pleaded guilty to exposing himself, criminal damage and threatening behaviour. He was placed on a four-week curfew and ordered to pay £30 in compensation.

Darren Mouat, 50, of Elginton Tower, Sunderland, admitted two charges of assaulting paramedics. He was fined £160 and told to pay £100 compensation and a £30 surcharge.

Ashleigh Shaw, 30, of Captain’s Wharf, South Shields, admitted driving without a licence, without insurance and failing to report an accident. She was given six penalty points, fined £120 and told to pay £85 costs and a surcharge of £31.99.

Alan Fairhurst, 47, of Borrowdale Street, Houghton, admitted theft and having a bladed article in public. He was placed on a 12-month community order and told to pay £85 cost and a £90 surcharge.

Dalton McCully, 24, of Hollin Hill, Concord, Washington, was told to pay £500 in compensation after admitting criminal damage to a metro train window. He was also given a 12-month community order.

Robert Wayne Rafferty, 31, of Poplar House, Sunderland, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after admitting possession of cannabis. He also must pay a £21 surcharge.

Thomas Hackett, 32, of Azalea Terrace South, Sunderland, admitted three charges of stealing goods from cars. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £305 in compensation, £85 costs and a £21 surcharge.

Gavin Kellett, 41, of Ferndale Road, Penshaw, was fined £538 after pleading guilty to driving with excess alcohol. He was banned from driving for 19 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £53 surcharge.
