Shamed former Sunderland star Adam Johnson has reportedly had a visit from his baby daughter for the first time since he was sent to prison for child sex offences.
According to a report in the The Sun, the ex-England winger, jailed after being found guilty of sexual activity with a 15-year-old Black Cats fan, was visited at HMP Moorland in South Yorkshire by his former girlfriend Stacey Flounders and their 18-month-old daughter Ayla.
He is currently serving a six-year sentence for the offences.
In one picture accompanying the story, Stacey appears to wipe a tear from her eye as they leave the facility.
Johnson’s mum Sonia is also pictured walking away from the prison following the visit.
Johnson’s youngster sister Faye has tweeted a link to the story, saying: “Finally reunited,” followed by a heart emoji.
Earlier this year former Manchester City and Middlesbrough star Johnson pleaded guilty to grooming his schoolgirl victim as well as one count of kissing her.
But he was found guilty by a jury at Bradford Crown Court of one count of sexual activity and not guilty of a more serious charge.
Following the conclusion of his trial in March he was granted bail to go and say goodbye to his daughter.
