Jarrow man accused over false alibi for court case

A South Tyneside man accused of creating a false alibi for a court case is set to appear at crown court.

Jamie Fenwick, 26, of Haggerston Terrace, Jarrow, is charged with intent to pervert the course of justice from February 14 to April 25 of this year by concocting a false alibi with another person for use at court.

Fenwick was at a brief hearing at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court, where the case was sent to Newcastle for September 3.

No pleas were entered.
