Jarrow man appears in court charged with historic child sex offences

Phillip Chapman has been charged with 12 historic child sex offences and appeared before District Judge Kate Meek at magistrates’ court on Monday, June 8.

The 38-year-old, of North Road, Jarrow, did not enter a plea to the 12 alleged offences.

The case was sent directly to Newcastle Crown Court where Chapman is due to appear on Monday, July 6.
