A man accused of carrying out two burglaries at homes in South Tyneside has appeared in court.
Stuart Taylor is charged with two counts of burglary from a dwelling.
The offences are alleged to have occured in Rupert Street and Front Street, both in Whitburn, on Tuesday.
The 46-year-old entered no pleas during a hearing at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Magistrates sent the case to Newcastle Crown Court for an initial hearing on Thursday, June 18.
Taylor, of Cedar Grove, Whitburn, was remanded in custody until then.
