Man threatened with a knife in South Shields shop

POLICE are appealing for information after a man was threatened in a South Tyneside shop.

The incident happened at 10.10pm yesterday, in Talbot Road, South Shields, when a man followed the victim into Talbot Discount store and threatened him.

The 34-year-old was not injured in the incident.

The offender was wearing dark clothing, had his face covered and it’s thought he may have had a knife.

Officers are in the area carrying out inquiries.
