Metro worker racially abused in South Tyneside

A police appeal has been launched after a metro worker was racially abused in South Tyneside.

The worker was at Chichester Metro Station in South Shields when racist and threatening abuse was used towards them.

It happened on Tuesday September 1.

Police are now keen to speak to a man captured on CCTV at the time.

Officers believe he may be able to help with their inquiries.
