Police appeal after iPhone stolen from car parked in South Shields street

POLICE are appealing for information after an iPhone was taken when a car was broken into in South Shields.

The vehicle was broken into between 1.30pm and 4pm on Monday, February 23, in Dale Street.

The thieves smashed the passenger window and stole a black Apple iPhone 5 that had been left inside the car.

Inquiries are ongoing into the theft and police are appealing for anyone with any information into the incident to contact them on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference number sn 781 23/02/15.

Northumbria Police are urging motorists to remove all valuables from their cars when leaving them parked.

Never leave expensive items like mobile phones, tablets, laptops or sat navs out on display when leaving your vehicle unattended.
