Police appeal after window of Shields home damaged

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after the window of a South Tyneside home was damaged.

It happened at 5.40pm, on Wednesday, March 4, at an address in Morris Avenue, South Shields.

The offender approached the address on a silver pedal bike before causing damage to the living room window.

He is described as white, in his late 20s, 5ft 5ins to 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build, with black short hair.

He was wearing a long-sleeved horizontal striped black and grey jumper and baggy Adidas tracksuit bottoms with three stripes down the side.

Anyone who recognises the man from the description or who witnessed the damage is asked to contact police on 101, extension 69191, quoting log number 915 04/03/15 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
