THE RSPCA is appealing for help to track down the owners of a pony found dead in Hebburn.

The black and white stallion was found dead in South Drive in Hebburn on Friday, November 21. A black stallion (pictured) was seized by police on veterinary advice after being found underweight and suffering.

RSPCA inspector Catherine Richardson said: “Unfortunately we haven’t been able to find the owner of these ponies so far, and are appealing to the public today to contact us with any information they have.

“One of these ponies was found dead, the other in a poor state.

“We’ve gone as far as we can with our enquiries and have drawn a blank.

“It seems clear that these ponies have suffered a great deal, and we want to find out who is responsible for that.

“If you have any specific information please call the inspector appeal line on 0300 123 8018 and ask to leave a message for me.”
