South Shields man facing string of sex offences will appear before crown court judge next month

A South Tyneside man has appeared in court accused of a string of sexual offences.

Paul Hunter, 30, of Marshall Wallis Road, South Shields, is alleged to have carried out seven attacks.

South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court heard Hunter faces three charges of rape, one of sexual assault and three of sexual assault by touching.

He did not enter a plea to the charges and was granted unconditional bail to appear at Newcastle Crown Court on Monday, June 22.
