South Tyneside man breached bail conditions after leaving his home for 15 minutes

A South Tyneside man awaiting sentence for burglary broke the terms of his bail conditions by leaving home for 15 minutes, a court heard.

Raymond Boyle, 47, left his Elm Avenue property in Jarrow at 9.24pm on Sunday, March 15, South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court was told.

The court has still been hearing cases this week although have dealt with a massively reduced number of defendants.

The offence put him in breach of bail which ordered him to be at home from 8pm to 7am each day, a charge which was admitted.

The breach was recorded by an electron curfew system which monitors the whereabouts of defendants on bail.

The court re-bailed Boyle on the same conditions which also include that he must live at a property in Elm Avenue.

He is due to appear at Newcastle Crown Court later for sentencing on the burglary charge.
