Two teens arrested after metal bar attack at Jarrow Metro Station

Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was attacked with a metal bar at a South Tyneside metro station.

The man was assaulted at Jarrow Metro Station at 7.46pm on Monday, July 27.

A man aged 18 and a 14-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of affray.

Both have been bailed by police pending further inquiries.

Officers investigating the assault are still eager for anyone who was at the station at the time or may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
