Officers investigating a fraud in South Tyneside are releasing images of two men they’d like to trace.

The incident happened on July 31 in Ladbrokes, in Dean Road, South Shields.

The fraud relates to a scam known as “ringing the changes”.

This involves a staff member being asked to change a large sum of money into a smaller currency.

Police are carrying out inquiries into the incident and are keen to speak to the two men pictured.

It isthought they may have been in the store at the time and have information that can help the police.

The men, or anyone who recognises them, is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference 425 020815.
