The incident happened in the car park of the Morrisons supermarket in Seaburn last November.

She was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, where she was left in a critical condition fighting for her life.

Police appealed for witnesses who might have seen what happened in the busy supermarket car park as they pieced together what happened and also asked anyone with dashcam footage or information to get in touch.

In the aftermath of the incident, the force confirmed an 18-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl had been arrested in connection with the inquiry and said those involved were known to each other.

Graham, of Oak Avenue, near the Nook in South Shields, is due to appear before magistrates on Thursday, June 24.
