Fit-again Dwight Gayle is among the substitutes, while Aleksandar Mitrovic is not involved.

Anita Vurnon has also been handed a start in place of DeAndre Yedlin, who is on the bench.

Championship leaders Newcastle were beaten 2-1 at St James's Park by Huddersfield early in the season.

"They were well organised and were pressing well," said Benitez. "They are more or less doing the same. They are getting better and have more confidence.

"They were playing without pressure, but maybe now they will start feeling pressure because they are at the top of the table.

"They have a good manager (David Wagner), though and the players are enjoying playing with this intensity.

"Now they will start feeling the pressure because it’s not the same. When you are in the middle of the table, you can play nice football and everything is positive.

"But when you’re playing for something, you have a lot more pressure."
