Delays on A19 after car breaks down

Motorists faced delays on the A19 due to a broken down vehicle this morning

According to North East Traffic News, the car was blocking a lane on the northbound carriageway of the road between the A183 and A1231 junctions at Hylton Bridge, in Sunderland.

Traffic was backed up to the Herrington Interchange.

The lane has since reopened.
