Dove release auction aims to raise hospice funds

A small businessman is hoping to boost the coffers of a South Tyneside charity by auctioning his service.

Ian Curry, launched Angel White Dove Release, last year.

Since then he has seen the number of bookings steadily increase as more people learn about his service.

The business involves the hire of doves for special occasions which are then either released from a basket or by hand under his guidance.

The service normally costs £150.

However, in a bid to boost the coffers of charity South Tyneside ADHD support group, Mr Curry is auctioning off a dove release.

He has also joined up with photographer Linda Robson, to offer the lucky winner a photoshoot.

Mr Curry said: “We are hoping to raise £150 before 10am on Valentine’s Day for South Tyneside ADHD support group.

“It would mean a great deal if we are able to achieve our target before then.”

The auction ends at 10am on Valentine’s Day and bidding is currently at £85.
