AN Elvis impersonator aims to leave leaving shoppers in South Tyneside All Shook Up this weekend.
Elvis lookalike, Mike Memphis, is visiting the Viking Shopping Centre, in Jarrow, on Saturday.
He’s stopping by to celebrate Valentine’s Day and people shopping in the run up to the most romantic day of the year can pose for a picture with the singer.
The photos will be posted on the Centre’s Facebook page and those who receive the most likes and comments will win gifts for themselves and their loved ones.
Lee Kimber, manager of the Viking Shopping Centre, said: “With Valentine’s Day a week away, we thought our activity would be a timely reminder for our shoppers that if they do not want to fall out of favour with their loved ones, they should be buying a card or memento of their love.
“They say that music is the food of love, and we hope that our Elvis lookalike will remind shoppers that they Can’t Help Falling in Love or even get them thinking about a Hawaiian Wedding Song.”
